Gather

On Saturday the 23rd of December, we gathered as FM, Site and Temple missionaries for a dinner and program in the Pageant Building. Somehow, I am always designated as the AV guy in the 11th hour! I cued up the music and videos for the performers and presentations.

One thing that we all have in common is that we are all away from home and away from our families for the holidays. This absence makes a lot of hearts grow fonder. For Christmas 2023, we are all a bit of family as we enjoy the trappings of the season.

Along with other performers, I sang 'Christmas for Cowboys' dedicated to the teamsters that drive the wagons throughout Old Nauvoo. Other songs, some comedy and various touching stories rounded out the night. As many have said, "This is a 20 lb mission" - a reference to the fact that we never want for good food. I will really have to jump back on the health wagon when the holidays end.
