To return home, you must leave your Father's House.

That isn't easy. I have lived in Ogden, Utah my entire life save for 2 missions - 1 to Birmingham England at 19 for 2 years, and now 1 in Nauvoo, Illinois for 1 year. Ogden is home.

I am now finding that the return is also an adjustment. I never realized how much I would miss our daily Temple attendance and officiating. There is a sweet spirit that accompanies missionary service. There is simplicity and daily discipline that brings peace and joy.

Our time in Nauvoo feels like a wonderful dream. My emotions now are tender with the memories that I have. I love my children and our grandchildren. I don't know that they will completely understand that I missed them, but would not trade the experiences gained in service at the Temple. Truly, this was a pearl of great price that we found in our lives. We will miss so many that we grew to love.

Now is the time to reconnect with family. Now is the time to bring the love we felt in the temple home. Now is the time to bring what we learned in the temple home. Farewell Nauvoo - for now.

This is the link to a video I produced for our farewell in Nauvoo. I hope it conveys our feelings.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Here's the Browning Building. It has been such an important part of our lives. It deserves mention as we begin telling the story of our 1 year journey.
